The family is growing in this household. Over the past year, besides having our resident furball Charlie, we’d also taken in yet another cat Zoë and a tank of fish. This time around, we fostered a pair of sugar gliders named Albie and Angie. To cut the story short, they belonged to my side of the family for the past seven years but certain circumstances had left them sort of owner-less. So we decided to take them in and love them just as they should be.
Personally, I’m not a fan of cages but we’re left with no choice when it comes to this old couple. Just like any matured sugar gliders, Albie is fat and balding but he is certainly the cutest. Whenever the guy is on my hand, he’ll take a piss (literally) on me and climb all over. Angie, on the other hand, is so shy that she’ll only get out of her shell to eat. But ever since we brought them home, she has been poking her head out and doesn’t seem to mind us stroking her. Both are big fans of apples and honey-coated dried worms.
It’s funny to think that we can house so many animals in our small abode. It’s definitely a Being John Malkovich situation that we’re in. Remember the puppeteer who lives with his pet-crazy wife? That’s us, alright. And we’re completely fine with that.
